Female Excellence in Trieste: A Round Table Discussing Successful Careers

Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, the Sala Maggiore of the Chamber of Commerce of Venezia Giulia (Piazza della Borsa, Trieste) will host a high-profile round table: the event will feature speakers holding positions of excellence across the institutional, academic, and scientific sectors of the Julian territory, ready to share the milestones, challenges, and achievements of their career paths. The initiative is organized in close collaboration with the FIDAPA sections of Tergeste Venezia Giulia and Trieste Storica. The proceedings will open with institutional greetings from representatives of the promoting bodies and the local territory:

• Claudia Krainik – Committee for Female Entrepreneurship (CCIAA Venezia Giulia)
• Alessia Rosolen – Regional Councilor for Labor, Training, Education, Research, University, and Family of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia
• Cinzia Del Torre – National Head of “Leadership, Equal Opportunities, and Projects” at FIDAPA

The heart of the debate will be dedicated to direct testimonies from four women at the helm of the city’s leading institutions and scientific organizations:

• Lilia Fredella – Questore (Police Commissioner) of Trieste
• Ottavia Mossenta – Commander of the Carabinieri Company of via Hermet in Trieste
• Marina Cobal – President of the International Foundation of Trieste for the Progress and Freedom of Sciences (FIT)
• Paola Del Negro – Director General of the National Institute of Oceanography and Applied Geophysics (OGS)

Guiding the discussion and moderating the interventions will be Elisabetta Gregoric, Project Manager TLQS (Laboratory on Quantitative Sustainability OGS/FIT) and Italian Ambassador for FIDAPA – BPW Italy.
